🚨 Andon Alert

SMS Terms & Conditions

Program Overview

Andon Alert is a factory alerting service operated by Wetfish Limited. Our SMS messaging program delivers real-time notifications to factory workers and supervisors to minimize production downtime and ensure workplace issues are addressed promptly.

How It Works

Andon Alert is an invite-only workplace tool. Users are added to the SMS notification program through the following process:

  1. Employer Setup — A factory administrator creates an Andon Alert account for their facility and configures workstations, production lines, and escalation rules.
  2. Employee Invitation — The administrator generates invite codes and distributes them to employees who need to receive alerts as part of their role.
  3. Employee Registration & Consent — Employees use their invite code to register at andonalert.net/register. During registration, employees provide their phone number and must explicitly check a consent box agreeing to receive SMS messages before their account can be created. The consent checkbox is not pre-selected — employees must actively opt in.
  4. Shift Assignment — Once registered, the factory administrator assigns employees to specific shifts and production lines. Employees will only receive SMS alerts relevant to the shifts and lines they are assigned to.

Registration & Opt-In

The screenshot below shows the Andon Alert registration page. An invite code from a factory administrator is required to create an account. The SMS consent checkbox is unchecked by default — employees must actively opt in before their account can be created.

User Profile Management

After registration, users can edit their profile at any time to update or remove their phone number. Removing a phone number will stop all SMS notifications to that user.

On-Call Assignment

Factory administrators configure which employees are on-call for each workstation. Each on-call user is assigned a notification delay (in minutes), creating an escalation chain. Only users who have registered and opted in to SMS will receive notifications.

Alert Triggers

Factory workers report issues by pressing large, color-coded buttons on their workstation kiosk. Each button corresponds to an alert type (Emergency, Safety Concern, Maintenance, Materials, Supervisor). When pressed, the system automatically sends SMS notifications to on-call personnel according to the configured escalation chain.

Types of Messages

By opting in, you may receive the following types of SMS messages from Andon Alert:

  • Factory alerts — Notifications when a worker at your assigned workstation or production line reports an issue (e.g., emergency, parts shortage, machine maintenance, quality control).
  • Escalation alerts — Notifications when an issue has not been resolved within the configured time limit and requires supervisor or management attention.
  • Account notifications — Password resets, security alerts, and other account-related messages.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on factory activity, your role, and your shift assignments. During active production shifts, you may receive multiple messages per day. Outside of assigned shifts, you will not receive factory alert messages.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Wetfish Limited does not charge any additional fees for SMS notifications. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your messaging plan.

Opt-In

You must provide express written consent to receive SMS messages during the Andon Alert registration process. Consent is not a condition of employment — participation in the SMS notification program is between you and your employer. Your consent applies only to messages sent by the Andon Alert platform on behalf of your employer's factory.

Opt-Out

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any Andon Alert SMS message.
  • Contacting your factory administrator to update your notification preferences or remove your phone number.
  • Emailing us at [email protected] with your opt-out request.

After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message. You will not receive any further SMS messages from Andon Alert unless you re-register and consent again.
